This page is for the vehicles that do not fit a normal car bay: Range Rover, Land Rover Defender and Discovery, Mercedes G-Class, Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and Q8, BMW X5 and X7, and double-cab pickups such as the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux.
Our facility in Stalybridge, in the heart of Greater Manchester, is purpose-built for vehicles, not a converted warehouse or a row of lock-ups. Tell us the vehicle and we confirm a bay that takes it, with room to open the doors, before you book. Every vehicle is photographed on arrival, checked daily and handed back ready to drive. What Changes When You Store a 2.5-Tonne Vehicle
Tyres under two and a half tonnes
A parked SUV puts far more weight through each contact patch than a hatchback, so flat-spotting starts sooner. We raise the pressures on arrival and check them on the daily walk-round.
Air suspension settles, and that is normal
Range Rovers, Cayennes and Q7s drop on their air springs after a few days standing. It is not a fault and it lifts on start-up. The daily check records it, and anything that changes between days is reported to you.
Keyless and telematics drain the battery
Modern SUVs keep alarms, keyless receivers and trackers awake around the clock, and a large battery can still be flat in three weeks. An automatic conditioner, available as an add-on, keeps it at full charge without overcharging.
What It Costs
The same two tiers as every vehicle we store. Secure Indoor Storage is £150 a month: a dry bay, humidity monitored at 55% RH, checked daily. Dehumidified Storage is £200 a month with the air held at 55% RH, which suits leather, veneer and anything laid up for months. Prices include VAT and the minimum stay is one month. If a vehicle needs a wider or longer bay, we confirm it, and the price, before you book. Covers and battery conditioners are add-ons.

Bays Sized for SUVs and 4x4s
Wide bays and a flat approach matter more for a 2.5-tonne vehicle than for a sports car: doors that open fully without touching the vehicle alongside, room for a roof box or a towbar, and a hall you drive straight into. Three situations we see most often:
Luxury Vehicle Storage: Range Rover, G-Class, Bentayga, Urus, Cullinan
High-value SUVs need the same care as a supercar with more weight to manage: tyre pressures raised, battery on a conditioner, leather and veneer kept in monitored air, and a soft breathable cover rather than a dust sheet. We store luxury SUVs on either tier; most owners choose the dehumidified bay for anything with a leather interior that is staying more than a couple of months.
Jeep, Defender and Off-Road Vehicles Between Trips
Green-lane and expedition vehicles come in muddy, and mud left in the arches and under the body holds moisture against bare metal all winter. Wash the underside before it comes in, or ask us to do it on arrival; our guide to cleaning a car before storage explains what to get at. Roof racks, winches and towbars can stay fitted. Long-Term and Winter Storage for SUVs
Second cars, vehicles belonging to owners working abroad, and 4x4s that only come out for the shooting season all sit for six months or more. What Is Included for an SUV or 4x4
Every vehicle gets the same standard of care, whichever tier you choose. Preparation, daily checks, gated security, breathable cover, all identical. The difference between Secure Indoor and Dehumidified Indoor is the air, and for anything with chrome, leather or sensitive electrics, the air is the whole point.

Getting Started
Call, WhatsApp or send the form and tell us three things:
- what the vehicle is,
- roughly how long it needs to stay,
- and where it is now.
We’ll come back the same working day with availability and a firm price.
You’re welcome to visit before committing, and most people do. Come and see the bays, meet whoever will be looking after it.
On arrival we walk round the vehicle together, photograph its condition and note anything specific it needs. Or we collect from your door and send you the photographs. Nothing goes into a bay unrecorded.
Security, Specified in Full
Security on a storage site is easy to claim and harder to specify. Here’s ours, in full:

The facility is purpose-built and privately owned. That matters more than any single measure on the list: there is no public footfall, and nobody is on site who has no reason to be.

We collect within 65 miles of SK15 by arrangement. Give us the vehicle’s weight and length when you enquire and we confirm how it will be collected.
Yes, on the same two tiers. Double-cab pickups and vans up to a standard bay height are fine; tell us the dimensions and we confirm the bay. Campers by arrangement.
One month, with no long tie-in. Prices include VAT and there is no maximum stay. Your vehicle stays on your own insurance policy while it is with us; we provide documentation of the building security for your insurer on request.
